General
What is a pet hotel?
A pet hotel is a private concern where a pet can stay for an agreed
period at a fixed price.
The pet’s stay is not subsidized so the costs
are paid in full by the owner.
This is what you can expect from us! Dogs
are exercised at least twice a day and they have a spacious inside
and outside kennel. Cats also have a roomy inside and outside area.
We have a infirmary for both cats and dogs. We see it as our duty
to ensure your pet(s)’ stay is as pleasant as possible. You
can help us by making any special requirements known to us.
History
In 1981 the De Open Ruimte was started by the De Boer family at
Rolderstraat 8, in Grolloo. In February 2002 we, with our employees, were given the unique opportunity to take over the running of the business, using our twenty years of experience acquired working with animals. This includes several animal behavior courses, animal first-aid, instructor courses and the training of police, explosive and drug sniffer dogs.
Dibevo
Our hotel is connected with the Dibevo.
Thus, the conditions of Dibevo apply to all reservations. You can download the General terms from Dibevo-Pet Hotels.
We work closely with the veterinary surgery
AA and Hunze in Rolde and the veterinary surgery The Borgstee in
Assen. If we suspect your pet is unwell, then we will contact one
of these veterinarians directly.
Do you want to visit our hotel?
That is possible! You are most welcome to
visit during our opening hours of Tuesday to Thursday between 10.00 and
12.00 o'clock or between 17.00 and 18.00 hours.
Please would you make an appointment before coming to see us.
So as
not to disturb the animals, it is not possible to visit during the
high season (end of June until the end of August) and other holiday
periods. During the weekends and
public holidays we are open between 10.00 and 11.30.
As the Dutch saying goes, “The clock
ticks nowhere better than at home”. We hope, however, that
your pet’s clock will tick just as well when you are away
as when you are home. Of course, to ensure you have a carefree holiday,
you are welcome to call us during your absence to find out how your
pet is getting along.
